FBTEE Downloadable Maps Published

The maps developed for the FBTEE project are now available for downloading here. The maps were designed by Vincent Hiribarren and Simon Burrows, and use borders for the period 1772-1791. In all there are three maps. The first covers the geopolitical zones we developed for analytical purposes; while the second and the third offer the borders of the upper sovereign units (states) and lower territories (provinces) that we have used. For further details of the mapping process and strategic and representational issues involved, please consult the ‘Space and Mapping’ section of the project’s ‘Designer notes‘. We hope the maps prove useful and would be delighted to hear from anyone who uses them in their own projects.
